Inspiration
May 19th, 2008Jon Lester, who was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago, has recovered to throw a no-hitter for the Boston Red Sox tonight. I have an uncle who is an alcoholic, and I recently watched the film Truman with him, about the American President who was incapable of mainstream success before he reached the age of fifty, and told him that there is nothing impossible for the man with the will to achieve it. Lester proves that tonight, and I hope you find comfort in that as no one should ever abandon their dreams. If a man doesn’t believe in himself, how can anyone else believe in him?
